Your Motorcycles: Harley Davidson
I designed and built this bike a few years ago while learning and turning wrenches at an indy shop such as yours. It has ALL aluminum polished, including cases, S&S bottom end with 4 5/8" stroke, BIG valves with high flow ports, dual plugged, outside oil return heads, Andrews AX (.550) cams (I set the case half up on the mill table, installed the cams in the old bearings, made an alloy collet sleeve to fit over one cam end, and lapped the gears back and forth at 200 rpm until they spun by hand !!), Karata belt drive primary, Barnett Kevlar clutch kit, LBV Eng. chain final drive tensioner, Alloy Sprocket Specialties sprockets, billet rocker boxes frame mounts, Crane HI-4 ignition, new electric starter system, new generator/voltage regulator, all new bearings, bushings, seals, etc., Jagg oil cooler, new battery w/o acid added, billet r. fender struts w/8" fiberglass fender, my own design and fabricated seat built with an aluminum pan and gel inserts in the seat area, Kosman widened (4.5") Kaw KZ1000 cush drive 18" rear wheel with 150mm rubber, matching Kaw KZ1000 front end, Magura master cylinder, K&N black chrome superbars, etc. The frame has been extensively modified by me. The top frame tube is now raised and of 2" diameter 1020 d.o.m. mild steel. It has a 3" stretch and the neck is set at 34 degrees. I milled off the casting of the stock swingarm (leaving enough to keep the mounting ears in correct geometry, then fabricated a new, wider, lengthened by 1.5", swingarm using 1.75" x 1.00" 4130 chrome moly rectangular stock.ALL welding done with TIG, fixtured, and in perfect alignment. It has been heat treated/stress relieved. The bike has a 65" wheelbase. I used Progressive Suspension billet r. shocks with 5 way dampening adjustment.
